1. If you participate in a discussion, you are responsible for ensuring that any material you post to the Community Message Board or Chat Room (text, images, or other multimedia content) does not violate or infringe upon the copyright, patent, trademark or any other personal or proprietary rights of any third party and is posted with the permission of the owner of such rights.
   Pretty much if it has a copyright symbol ©  in it , under it , over it .... please do not use the graphic unless we have the actual permission from the maker to use it .
   Do not use any pictures from .com's like any of the greeting card sites.

   Please know that we love all the graphics/gifs and photos so do not stop using them , please just be careful.

2. You agree not to use any obscene or offensive language or to place on the Community Message Board or Chat Room, any material that is libelous; abusive or hateful; constitutes junk mail or unauthorized advertising; invades anyone's privacy, or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation. You agree to use the Message Boards and Chat Room only for lawful purposes.
3. To maintain a high quality content, the Manager may remove messages which stray from the topic or do not contribute new ideas. The Manager will remove all commercial advertising and/or any message that violates, that is libelous; abusive or hateful; constitutes junk mail or unauthorized advertising; invades anyone's privacy, or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
4. Please do not "spam" through our Communities or Chats, none of our users like it.  To spam includes sending identical and irrelevant submissions to many different discussion groups, mailing lists, chats or communities. Usually such postings have nothing to do with the particular topic of the group or are of no real interest to Members of the Groups. To spam also includes misrepresenting the source of anything you say or post. Spamming and scrolling in chat rooms are serious violations of online etiquette.  The Managers may Ban a user at anytime, without notice, from any or all our Communities & Chats for spamming.  (MSN may charge $5 for each peice of spam or unsolicited bulk email transmitted from or otherwise connected with your account!)
5. Commercial Advertising:  Advertising your own Business or Products within our Communities is prohibited, but if you think you have good cause for providing information within the message boards or chat then you must first ask the permission of either the Community Manager or the Host of the Chat.  No Member/Manager will advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, unless authorization is obtained from the Community Managers who agree to specifically allows such messages.  Any Members found promoting their own Products or posting Unauthorised links to their own Commercial Websites may be Banned from our Communities and Chats without warning.
6. MSN, who provide these services for us to use, have been cracking down on Commercial Advertising, "Adult Material" and any other type of material that infringes their Terms and Conditions, in the Communities recently and have been closing down Communities found with any of those types of material, regardless or not of whether it is a Members own product.  Therefore, if any type of Commerical Advertising or "Adult Material" is found posted on the Message Boards it will be removed at the Managers discretion and the Member(s) will be notified.
7. Discussion material on the Community Message Board and Chat Room is for your personal use only. You may not in any way make commercial or other unauthorized use, by publication, re-transmission, distribution, or otherwise, of material obtained through the Community, except as permitted by the Copyright Act or other law.  Most of the content found in our Communities/Groups is our own work, so please respect that and do not copy it for your own Sites/Groups as that can be classed as Copyright infringement and action will be taken against anyone found copying anything from this Group.. you will be reported to MSN and in some cases, to the appropriate legal people as well.  If you would like to copy anything and are not sure if it is copyrighted, please ask the author first, or alternatively email the Managers of this Group and ask them.
8. Persons acting in a manner not consistent with good taste, in the opinion of the chat host, will be asked to leave the chat. The person asked to leave may return to chat on another day if they can monitor their own behavior. Repeated offenses of bad behavior or failure to leave chat when asked to do so may result in permanent ban from the community, at the discretion of the Manager.
9. Please remember that this is a "family" site and we sometimes get children coming to our Groups and Chat to discuss something with us or find out more information.  Unfortunately illness is not choosy as to who it picks, whether it be an adult or a child.. there is no age limit on diseases and disorders, so there is no age limit on our Groups.. everyone is welcome!
10. All persons, regardless of religious beliefs, will be welcomed in the community. Overly religious content may be removed if offensive to other members, but toleration is encouraged.
11. Sometimes you may come across Information in our various pages, or posts on our message boards with suggestions on different types of medications or alternative/complementary treatments, please do not try any of these suggestions before talking to your Doctor about it.  Some things can have bad reactions to different medications and can be very dangerous if not taken under supervision from a medical professional.
12. Please understand that not everything people say is meant at face value. I think it is safe to say that all of us have made a statement like “I could of just killed myself“ when describing how frustrated or depressed something has made us, when in fact we never did actually have that intention. This is just an example of dramatic overstatement that is common when talking about emotional reactions. We do need to have a little bit of discernment when it comes to this kind of thing, and offer help when we feel there is a real problem, but when things are said in the past tense, I think we can all assume safely that there is no real danger.  The main thing is, we cannot over-react to this kind of thing.  Granted, we all get testy, that comes along with constant pain and frustration. That is never an excuse to be rude or to attack another member, however.. we WILL moderate anyone who does this. We are here to offer support and encouragement in a POSITIVE way, not to lash out at each other.  Please do not allow the posts of another person to cause you undo stress.  If there is something that is upsetting you then you are most welcome to email the managers of the Group to discuss it.

14. The Community Manager, without prior notice, may modify these rules at any time.

-Promote education of all aspects of Cancer
-To provide a medium for people to meet others who are in a similar position
-Help in deciding when to see a specialist for treatment or evaluation

Posting removal policy:
-Hostile, rude, or aggressive postings will be removed
-Any suggestion which could cause harm
-Postings that have nothing to do with the goals of the forum
-Postings that include links or phone numbers for commercial sales sites
-Asking someone to contact you for information banned on the forum
-Posting e-mail addresses or asking for e-mail addresses will be removed for Security reasons.
-Posting debating the removal of a posting will be removed.
-Multiple postings stating the same general message. Starting new string is preferred to several follow-ups.
