(I realize that the request for this information may seem a little too personal for some. I'm not asking for your home address and phone number, I'm asking for something that would be public knowledge anyways. Also, please keep in mind that this is the Internet and WE ARE police wives and we don't know YOU from Adam. So, in order for you to be a part of this group, you must prove to us that you are also married to a Canadian police officer. If you are the wife of an officer, would you want to be a part of a group for wives, sharing your day and sometimes personal things with others who may not really be married to an officer at all? Would your husband want you to be a part of a group that had absolutely no security measures in place at all? I have always watched out for the members here and their security is of the utmost importance to me. This request isn't fool proof by any means, but because this is the Internet, it's all we have.)

(i.e.~ sympatico, rogers, mts, shaw, cogeco... etc. ) I keep all information on file when you join, and the email address that you apply with, will be the only one that I will use to correspond with you in the future, so it is best that it is valid .... and I do check them out for validity before you are accepted into the group.
Workplace, Hotmail, Yahoo, MSN etc. email addresses will NOT be accepted under any circumstances and will result in an automatic denial.

emotion nickname to apply. (It would be a nice gesture on your part if your nickname somehow reflects your real first name, as we do go by real first names on this site. Things can get pretty confusing as to whose nick belongs to who).

For security reasons, when applying, please uncheck the box where it asks if you want to allow other group members to see your e-mail address, as I do not allow e-mail addy's to be shown on site or in your profile. If your email address is showing in your profile, you will be asked to remove it. Failure to comply in a timely fashion will result in your loss of membership. You may reapply.
Canadian Police Wives is an interactive support group and posting is an important factor of this group. Only those wishing to be a part of the group and contributing on a steady basis need apply. Failing to do so may lead to the loss of your membership.
