Brentwood Volleyball Club Season 2005-2006
National League
The National League Season spikes off this weekend on Sunday 18th September 2005 with Brentwood Estonians away to Guildford International 2 and Stowmarket. Brentwood Partners are at home to Dartford and Tendring.
The National League Season for 2005-2006 looks very interesting due to new teams having entered the League.
Stowmarket, Cambridge 2 and Tendring are all new entries into Men's Division 3 East with Brentwood Estonians coming down a League from Men's Division 2 due to relegation last season.
Brentwood Estonians are looking to jump themselves straight back up into Men's Division 2 for the 2006-2007 season but they will be hard fought with Brentwood Partners coming close to the top half of the League as well as other top teams.
The teams to look out for this season are Brenwood Estonians, Brentwood Partners, Guildford International 2, T.H. Lynx, Tendring, Stowmarket, Tonbridge and Cambridge 2.
Dartford and Ipswich Town will come close but will find it hard to beat the top teams but like last season their were a few upsets so don't be surprised if you see something strange happen this season with all the teams plus I am sure there will be some close encounters!!
Brentwood Ladies are looking to improve their position from last year where they finished in 11th place. They are looking to get into the top half of the table or maybe even to the playoffs as they did two season ago.
Local League
Brentwood Widthings are looking to carry on their back-to-back-to-back trophies in the Season. They have won it for the last 6 years running. They also won last Season the Phillips Manning Cup so they are looking to retain it this Season. They are also looking to improve in the Rucanor Cup where they were knocked out early.
Brentwood Woofs are looking to improve this season from 5th position. They won the Tachikara Plate last Season. They want to get back into the Phillips Manning Cup Final where they have lost the Final for the last two years so they want to win this time round. Third time lucky maybe!!
Brentwood Whackers have changed their name from Brentwood Rookies. They are looking to improve their game and win more games this Season.
Brentwood Ladies are still going strong in the Ladies league. They have won the Ladies league for the last 7 years running. New team Dartford Ladies look quite impressive so they could give them a run for their money as well as Tendring.
Regional League
Brentwood Men's Regional Team 1 won the Regional League last Season and are looking to win it again. Brentwood Men's Regional 2 are looking to improve to get into the top division next season.
