No Contact is an agreement you make to yourself not to contact the Ex. No Contact means just that,
No Contact is about giving yourself vital space and time to come to terms with the changes, it is about learning that your Ex is just that, your Ex and learning to lean on others for comfort, and learning to look inside yourself for answers. No Contact is not about sulking or trying to manipulate your Ex into wanting you. It's not about power games or punishing your Ex. It's not ignoring them to 'get back at them'.
Most times it's necessary to let your Ex know that you need some space, maybe they have been calling every few days. Don't go into detail, just explain you need time to adjust to the change and more than likely they will fully understand and cooperate
Maybe you can't avoid your Ex, maybe you work together or there are children, even in these situations keeping contact to the bare minimum is beneficial to rebuilding a new life.
