The albums will be open for photo submission from July 15-22.
***LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. NO EXCEPTIONS***
The voting booth will be opened on July 23, and will close July 29. The results will be posted by July 31.
After this time the top 3 will be displayed in each category, and first place entries of each category will be placed in the BOS albums to be voted on.
There will be one week to vote on the BOS after the pictures have been posted in their respective albums. The BOS male and female will be featured on the front page after the polls close!
The 1st place of each category will also be placed in an album on the voting site (Betta photo contest), with mention of the owner and the category it won.
RULES
1. The picture must be of a live betta you currently possess (honorary system), whether or not it was bred or purchased by you.
2. The betta was not in a prior contest.
3. Pictures are to be entered with it's title stating it's location in the album. Ex: The second betta placed in the category should be numbered #2.
4. If the betta was bred by someone else, state that on "description" of the picture (2nd text entry).
5. You are allowed to vote on your own if you think it's the nicest one.
6. The winners of each category will then be placed in the Best of Show albums to be voted on.
The best of show male and female will be featured on the front page of this site with mention of the owner(s).
7. All members are welcome to vote. The voting will be done at Bettaphotocontest. Each member is allowed to vote on up to 3 bettas, per category. The bettas with the most votes win. Your decision is based on which betta you think it's the nicest, regardless of rules/standards set up by other groups.
ENTERING PHOTOS
1. To enter a photo, add it to the photo album under the appropriate category.
2. Title the photo with the next number in succession. (i.e. if there are 3 photos already in there, title yours as #4).
3. The fish must be one that is currently alive and in your possession.
4. One fish maybe entered into at most two categories.
VOTING
1. Go to:
Click on polls on the left hand side. Choose the top 3 bettas in each category if there are more than 2 entries. If there are only 2, choose your favorite.
It is easier to vote if you open the polls in one window and the pics in another.
2. If you use List view rather than Grid view while browsing the photos, you can see the pic and the information at the same time. Clicking the picture will still enlarge it.
3. For the best of show male and female: After the preliminary voting is concluded, the first place of each category will be placed in the BOS album so they can be compared. Then you will vote for the fish you feel is the best of the best.
