        the heart)

CAD = Coronary Artery Disease

= Computed Topography Scan
CF = Cystic Fibrosis
CFIDS = Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction
              Syndrome
CFS = Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also called CFIDS)
CML = Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia
COPD = Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease 
             (Usually manifested as emphysema,may be 
             results result of asthma, smoking or other 
             causes of Chronic lung disease)
CP = Cerebral Palsy
CRPS = Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
CRPS I = Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (No nerve
               injury)
CRPS II = Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (Nerve 
                injury)
CTD = Connective Tissue Disease
CVA = Cerebral Vascular Accident (Stroke)
CVD = Cardiovascular Disease
CVID = Combined Variable Immune Deficiency

DM = Diabetes Mellitus
DVT = Deep Vein Thrombosis

        group of conditions causing DVT and PE)

MCS = Multiple Chemical Sensitivities
MCTD = Mixed Connective Tissue Disease
MDS = Myelodysplastic Syndrome
ME = Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (or) Encephalopathy
MI = Myocardial Infarction (Otherwise known as a 
        heart attack)
MM = Multiple Myeloma (A type of cancer involving the 
          bone marrow)
MPS = Myofascial Pain Syndrome
MRI
= Magnetic Resonance Imaging
MS = Mitral valve Stenosis (In relationship to the heart, 
          narrowing of the mitral valve)
MS = Multiple Sclerosis (A neurlogic disorder that is 
         progressive)
MVP = Mitral Valve Prolapse

NHL = Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (Type of cancer of 
           the lymph nodes)

OA = Osteoarthritis

PCP = Primary Care Physician
PD = Parkinson’s Disease
PE = Pulmonary Embolism

PMS = Pre-Menstrual Syndrome
PPS = Post Polio Syndrome
