All times are Eastern US Time or New York time. Pretty self explanatory really. It is THE market. All the world traders are glued to these markets. It is really a shame. There are 1440 minutes in a day. The US market is open from 9:30 to 4pm. 390 minutes of it are traded here. It is all based on the New York day. See my comments about the after hours in the Asian section. Ok there is the electronic trading. Yes Yes...duh! But the main trading is NYSE still. More specifically look at the heavy weights there (GE). Obviously you got Nasdaq and its collection of heavyweights (Cisco). Look at the volume of trade. Look at the volume of trade of the heavy weights. If the aspects do not correlate to price, they will to volume. This is how it works. The US market can be very manipulated (please see the Asian market notes for after market info). Let's say you have a extraordinary piece of news from one of these US bell weather stocks, or big guns. You know these are the likes of Microsoft Intel GE Cisco PG IBM (the list is endless). Now what you can get is that this ten ton gorrilla will move the markets. So have an eye on the volume of the market, it will be low, but the price action mimiks the gorilla of the day. You will see me make comments about how the correlations are. You will see me make comments about how one of these monkeys has messed up (messed down) the markets. But the most important part is that the aspects could be saying one thing and the gorilla in question is moving the market the other way. Finally the situation can get very very exaggerated if the aspects and the gorilla are moving in the same direction. Oh boy that can be a lot of fun!
