AliceInWonderland is pretty quiet here, but I know why.  She's managing an out of control board of her own.  Check out Politicus Maximus, The Extreme.  I've invited them to check us out, so watch for falling political opinions if any of her members stop by.

I'm setting a guideline on Barrage Posting.

Don't do it.  Use your best judgement, of course, but posting new strings on the same subject over and over and over could get you banned if it gets too ridiculous.  Why?  Because you're not the only member on the board.

While your issues are very important, and certainly the weight of the world rests on how people understand your viewpoint, monopolizing the board with multiple strings of discussion on the same subject within a week's time is not allowed.  We have to allow those other silly members to have the floor every once in a while to appease them.  You know how they are.

The News From The Edge on the "What's New" page now contains interesting (well, interesting to me anyway) stuff from outside our little board's borders along with anything new from us.  And you can email me stuff about you if you think it is newsworthy.  I might put it up there (for a small fee).

Is anybody reading this stuff?

HEY NEWBIES! - Conna ("ConanTheBarbie") - Some of you are very quiet.  You're creepin me out, man.  Sign the Busybody List.

LET'S BREAK THE SPEED OF LIGHT! - Yves ("Yves") - Despite the theoretical improbability of the whole deal, Let's Break the Speed of Light has finally regained its tenuous grip on existence.  It's a great place for exploring high-energy physics, explanations of life, and the complex interactions of humans as particles, and getting places really fast.  Fun for the whole family!

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK - Trevor ("tc-dragon") - We're always looking for good memorable quotes to put up as the quote for the week (which obviously tends to last a little more than a week, but what can I say?)  If you have any personal favourites, please send them to me, credited if possible.  Thanks!

NEW RULE - Conna ("ConanTheBarbie") - There's been an addendum to the "No Advertising" rule.  We're more aggressively targeting spammers.  Check out the Notices section.

Also, due to impaired sense of humor, board members who post "I don't get this discussion, why do you guys care?  Give me attention!" type posts will not be banned from the board.  The post will, most likely, be banned unless, of course, it actually is funny.

DISCLAIMER:  Management reserves the right to determine what is and is not funny.  Management will not be held responsible for damage caused by attempts at humor, including but not limited to loss of appetite or nervous breakdowns.  Nor will management be responsible for your failed career as a comic because of self esteem damage you may have suffered due to a deleted post.  Management may be on a power trip.

Due to impaired judgement, board members who post "I'm drunk!" type posts will not be banned from the board.  The post will, most likely, be banned unless, of course, it warrants discussion.

Some clarifications (highlighting mostly) to our rules on the Notices page.  Check them out.  Important not to break these rules.
