Ovulation and Menstration Problems

SIT BACK RELAX I HAVE FOUND OUT FOR YOU..

1.             Oligomenorrhoea   ( very unpredictable periods ) This is a defect from the hormone estrogen to the ovarys and messages to the brain, Dispite this hormones LH and FSH are normal, but this would cause a period disorder.

2.             Amenorrhoea        ( never had a period or the periods have just stopped ) The main cause of this is the Pituitary Gland, Which produces FSH and LH,and affects the ovarys which makes it impossible to produce estrogen, A simple PROGESTERONE TEST would be performmed and after five days of taking progesterone tablets a period should start.Once this test is performmed your fertility doctor can then proceed with drugs and treatment.

3.             Menopause symptoms  The ovarys may be fighting hard against or failing to react to FSH levels. Which is the same as what happens in the menopause, Estrogen levels will be very low.

4.             Polycystic Ovary Disease   ( lots of tiny cysts in the ovarys ) This is a condition were as there are lots of tiny cysts in the ovarys,Your LH level will be very high and estrogen and FSH levels will appear normal.

5.            Hyperprolactinaemia         (discharge from the nipples)  You guessed it this hormone is responsible for milk production,The hormone prolactin will be very high and so decreasing the FSH and Estrogen levels.

Good news

Apart from Ovarian Failure which regretably there is no treatment for as of yet, ALL the above can be treatable, With the correct diagnoises and Fertility Drugs accompanied by treatment in some cases, Your chances of increasing your fertility chances will be that of a normal fertile women.

FACT :  20 % OF WOMEN WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OVULATION ATTENDING A FERTILITY CLINIC.

Despite having a normal bbt chart, This sometimes means that ovulation is not occuring regulary.Or that the luteal phase is too short, and sometimes can be accompanied by low progesterone level. So having a normal chart does,nt always mean that everything is fine you may need additional tests to see if any of the above is occuring which can be treated and bring that special day of conception closer.

FERTILITY DRUGS USED

There are lots of drugs used to treat fertility,The main ones used are CLOMIPHENE,HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPHIN (HCG),BROMOCRIPTINE,HUMAN MENOPAUSAL GONADOTROPHIN (HMG),UROFOLLITROPHIN (PURE FSH),GONADOTROPHIN RELEASING HORMONE (GnRH or LHRH)

I DO HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND MORE AND JUST HELP YOUR AWARENESS ON THE DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF OVULATION AND PERIOD PROBLEMS.

Would love to hear from anyone who has been prescribed or using these drugs atthe moment, your comments could be helpful to others.

THANKYOU ONCE AGAIN FOR YOUR INTEREST..BINKY_JOE
