Many Women In the group has been through the turmoil of miscarriage. It Is one of the most tragic events to happen and sometimes not very supportive by Family and Friends. Even though it is not meant that way

Most women often find close members to them avoiding the issue by not talking about it, or friends crossing the road so as to avoid knowing what to say to you.  Which in the women’s Emotions is probably the best medicine to know that others are trying to understand your loss and emotions. Many Husbands although trying to understand simply cannot speak about there own feelings which makes the issue even harder to tackle, The sooner you both can talk and have some understanding your half way through dealing with your emotions. It is not unusual for a woman to reject or try to blame someone for her loss. This is simply a way of not understanding what has happened and for no reason why.

I personally feel that if someone would have spoken to me while I was in hospital I would have understood a lot more and could have found a support group I was 26 weeks pregnant, and went through labor but was just sent home the next day it was like my angel never existed, I have since had several Miscarriages and only now after 11 years I found out why..??

I have LPD Luteal Phase Defect,I have problems Implanting and my uterus erupts during the 1st - 2nd trimester.I live in the UK so the system is different than that of my American friends, But I will be able to get help in March 2001

Every longed for pregnancy that ends in Miscarriage is a loss and so naturally a woman would be grieving as in the loss of a child or adult.

FACT

Because you have suffered one miscarriage does NOT mean you have a higher risk for having another one. Many women miscarry their first pregnancy. Then go on to have several very healthy Pregnancies..

"Remember, your next pregnancy will NOT be affected by this miscarriage."

THE ANSWERS

Many women who have had multiple Miscarriage find that testing is not done until they reach 3 miscarriages or the age of 35, This I feel should be changed as the couples emotions of losing there baby- babies should have more consideration. Also a woman who is 35 has a much less chance of conception than that of a 25 year old. For Many women there are no answers WHY? And no explanation given.

CHROMOSOME ABNORMALITY

Probably the most common cause of miscarriage is Chromosome abnormality in the actual conception. FACT Only half the eggs a woman produces in her reproductive life are viable. This could be because the egg does not divide to form an embryo or fetus, or conception is lost very soon after implantation of the early embryo. Many women who are a few days late for her period are not aware what has taken place

ABNORMALITY OF THE UTERUS

Abnormalities of the uterus may increase the potential loss of a pregnancy. Fibroids may also increase the risk to some degree. The uterus is formed by fusion of two tubular structures. It is not uncommon to find incomplete fusion. Such a uterus is described as “bicornuate” or two horned, it actually looks like the horns of a steer. The risk of pregnancy loss in this case is 1/3 30%

“septate uterus” still more common but less severe. The septum or wall of the uterus has poor blood supply and others would say that I have read on the Internet is responsible for up to 90% of miscarriage

THIS CAN BE HELPED WITH A SIMPLE OPERATION TO REMOVE UTERINE SEPTUM

DELAYED OVULATION

Very poorly understood and worse documented is the observation that delayed ovulation beyond cycle day 16, seems to be associated with poor retention of the early pregnancy. It has been found that by to move egg release forward to cycle day 13 – 14 seems to be helpful

SO FAR I HAVE COVERED 1st TRIMESTER LOSS

SECOND TRIMESTER LOSS

INCOMPETENT CERVIX

The incompetent cervix painlessly dilates in early to mid second trimester and the pregnancy literally becomes unattached. The woman has a gush of water and then begins to cramp as the uterus begins to contract. Expelling what remains of the pregnancy.

This can be helped with placing a special structure like purse string fashion around the cervix HELPS to prevent further loss.
