Eye On The Community    NOTICE: Over the years a tremendous amount of knowledge has been shared through these boards.  The archived files contain a wealth of information dating back to our beginning in 1999.  Our Manager Emeritus, Rodney, master-minded this entire venture with a vision and  mission based on promoting diversity within the Afro-American Community.  His presence is and will always be an integral and honored part of this Community.  On behalf of our Manager Rodney, we welcome all races, all cultures, all that will come into this house, in the spirit of cooperation and peace.    Did you know that a man was recently fired from his job for bad mouthing his employer online?  He called out his company and his boss specifically in an online tirade about his work environment.  When someone in the cyber community ratted him out, he was summarily dismissed!  The court upheld his dismissal and ruled that the supervisor was entitled to pursue defamation charges against the poor guy.  Lesson to be learned, be careful what you reveal about yourself online! Personal attacks are not allowed here.  With that being said, we ask that you please stop short of cursing and threatening each other!  The heat of the moment can bring out hostility and aggression but keep in mind ... This is only a discussion board!  It's not that serious ...  (smile)  At the end of the day, we're still family!  Senior members of the community know and understand this but we want to be sensitive to the comfort levels of all our members in the way we engage each other in discussion.  Somebody said, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.  As you spend time here in the AA Community you will learn to pick your battles wisely!  There are some Titans onboard who don't suffer ignorance lightly.  Be forewarned. Pornography will not be tolerated.  What part of that statement do you not understand?  Your membership will be immediately terminated as soon as you press that send button and attempt to defile our house with your sickness.  Get a life!   Nuff Said! This is an Afrocentric community.  We reserve the right to participate in an atmosphere that is condusive to our aims of uplifting and enlightening Afro- Americans.  We will not tolerate attempts to undermine our agenda of progressive, positive interactions between members.
