Be A Re-enactor of the Civil War!

Persons of Good Moral Character are Welcome to Apply! The 2nd US Cav is a Family Friendly Group where we ALL Camp Together. There are Fun and Educational Activities for All Ages. We do Living History Displays, Horse Cavalry Displays, Small Arms Displays, Participate in Authentic Civil War Battle Re-enactments, and Camp in some of the Nicest Parks God Created! Many of the Events have Regimental Balls where Everyone Wears their Finery and Dance to the Virginia Reel, Catillian, Grand March, and Other Civil War Era Dances. On Evenings When there are no Scheduled Events, we Sit Around the Campfire and Chat and Listen to Old Time Music played by our Members. Our Group Doesn't Charge any Monthly Dues or Have any Monthly Meetings. No need to Bring or Buy anything for your First Event. One of our Troopers will Take You Under His Wing so you Don't Make a Mistake of Buying the Wrong Things, Things you Can't Use, or Paying Too Much! You will also be Trained in Drill and Small Arms Safety if you Wish to Participate in the Battles. Minors Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent. You Must be 16 and have a Valid Hunters Safety Certificate to Participate in the Battle.
