Paint: PCL Satin Black w/ Flat Clear
Wheels: '59 Cadillac Hubcaps
Interior: Flat White Vinyl, House of Color Pavo Purple floor and dash
misc. Shaved door handles

Saw this car on the side of the road in 1999 and didnt really catch my eye as I was looking for something to Kustomize!! . Looking for a 1955 Ford, 1955 Lincoln, 64 lincol, 1959 catalina, or 64 galaxie. Had just sold a car for $3000 and had some extra cash to pick something up. Stopped by with a rag wiped the chrome and noticed had no pits. Purchaed the car for $1,600. Lowered it by cutting the springs myself, then shaved the handles and took off all the trim myself. Have had the car since, rebuilt the engine in 2003, replaced the driveshaft over 4 times, and replaced the radiator.has been driving beautifully ever since.
lately I have:
Put Airbags, Welded the once bondo'ed door handle holes, painted satin black, and redid the interior.
Next step is to repaint with a Flat, Sparkle Pave Purple on top and Pearl White Body with Purple, silver pinstripes on hood and trunk or some sort of purple and silver scallops.. Planning on doin it myself....

My Caddy (Millie) was originally sold on November 3rd, 1962 from V.T. Angle and Sons in Chambersburg, Pa.  From there, her history is unknown until she was sold by Lou Bressler's Car Gallery in Farmington Hills, Michigan in October of 1991.  She made her home in Lake Orion Michigan until I purchased her in August of 2006.  She has 109,000 miles and is mostly original except that she was repainted once prior to my purchase.  Since I've had her I have installed a new top, converted the front brakes to discs, installed eletronic ignition, replaced all the rubber and have all items working on her except the washer and guide-o-matic. (Maybe someday)  I was not a mechanic or really even a car guy until I bought her.  I truly enjoy the ride and the people I have met along the way!  A Caddy Lover Forever!   Ernie

1964 Cadllac Fleetwood Sixty-Special
However grand the occasion, an arrival in a Cadillac Fleetwood is a notable one, for whatever the model, it is an impeccable reflection of good taste and achievement . . . and the preeminent motor car wherever people of prominence gather.
The finest compliment that can be paid a lady is to provide her with the company of a Cadillac. lts gracious styling flatters her wherever she goes. lts luxury and conveniences pamper her every wish. The remarkable ease with which so magnificent a motor car handles gives her a feeling of confidence and security unique in motordom. And finally, a Cadillac satisfies her practical nature with its gratifyingly low maintenance expense and universally recognized high resale value. Can you think of a better way to light up a lady's eyes than to suggest that today would be a wonderful time to pick out a new 1964 Cadillac?

Back in 1995. April 20th, the morning of the Aklahoma bombing, I let an unexperienced young driver behind the wheel and he was so excited to be driving what he felt was a big block American muscle engine, so he stomped on it as so (after only barely warmed up on cold morning for no more then 10 minutes or so) and blew a piston and broke connecting rod and tore a slash right through my oil pn and blew gasket so anit-freeze got mixed in w/ oil and left a big mess all over the road and green/tan sludge in my pan. He darn near lost control of it and luckly, we only hit a center devider and hopped over and slid into the dirt sholder. Notice my Green '64 Coupe 'de Ville to the rescue. He still got home in a '64 Cadillac, only I dorve this time.

In the Sixty Special you can choose from two cloth patterns, wool broadcloth or all-leather in a wide array of colors. Shown here is Torino Turquoise pattern Drexel cloth with genuine leather bolsters.
Elegant almost beyond belief, the interiors of the 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood Series combine the finest fabrics and leathers obtainable . . . rich imported wood trim . . . salon-rich carpeting . . . and gleaming metal ornamentation, tastefully and meticulously crafted as if by a jeweler's hand. The Sixty Special Sedan, shown here, is offered in a wide variety of fabrics and leathers. The Eldorado Convertible features all-leather interiors, with bucket seats and locking center console as popular options. The leather inserts in seats and backs are perforated for coolness. The nine-passenger sedan features folding seats for full-width seating of three passengers. The limousine chauffeur compartment is in leather harmonizing with the rich wool cloth of the rear compartment. Motordom offers no interiors more regal than those in the Cadillac Fleetwood Series.

The blemishes you see in pic are a stain on a 35mm print before I scanned it. Otherwise clean by then only except for original dash needing some cleaning. Note in pic, the cruise dial is missing, I had the original pad on work bench for detailing and this is a very clean back up for my blus cars and I have same for my Green ones.

1964 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Biarritz

In a class by itself in its luxury and magnificence, the new Cadillac Fleetwood Series for 1964 has been created to more than meet the desires of those discriminating motorists who would be satisfied with nothing less than the worid's most elegant motoring.
Four models carry the distinguished Fleetwood laurel wreath and crest, and one stood out amung them,: the Fleetwood Eldorado Biarritz Convertible..
Of necessity a limited production car, fortunate indeed is the family who possesses a regal Cadillac Fleetwood.
Truly, the Fleetwood laurel wreath and crest distinguishes the best that motoring offers . . . and is the hallmark of one of the finest possessions a man can own.
And just as surely, it reflects his respect for correctness of styling . . . his admiration for flawless craftsmanship . . . and does full justice to his recognition of a sound, enduring value and a wise investment

To whatever event the magnificent Fleetwood takes you, the occasion can seldom surpass in splendor and pleasure the journey there. Every elegant line holds a dramatic promise of the action that is yours as you put this brilliant car through its paces. When your motoring bears the hallmark of the distinguished limited production Fleetwood, it is very special indeed. Is there any more reason to wann to charish the beauti of these Golden American luxary classics and keep them on the road

I guess my most favorite of all the '63/'64 models to drive is my beloved 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Biarritz. Modded w/ front wheel disc brakes and high lift cam and increased compression ratio and re jetted carb, this car handles like a dream. I am such a fan of big, roomy cars w/ the spunk of the mid sized sports car. This beauti was fully loaded right down to the ever so desired RH mirror, license plate lens covers, rear seat belts, Blue Coral car care kit, and much much more. It came w/ the Eldorado optional 8.20x15" tires but DAD replaced w/ 9.10x15 in '66 and had a nice ride height to it but not so swift on corning. So when it was turned over to me for my B-day in summer of 1976, my first Cadillac, I put brand newlow preasure white walls, P235/75R15's and wow, what an improvement. It got the front disc 5 yrs later.

The Fleetwood Eldorado Biarritz offers interiors of the finest leather. This Sandlewood tan perforated leather is but one of eight colors. Console and bucket seats optional.
The soft warmth of hand-rubbed imported African Baku wood paneling accents the gracious Fleetwood interior. The convenient new flexible assist handle is handsome as well as practical. And the regal Fleetwood laurel wreath and crest is a constant reminder that you are enjoying motoring's most eminent luxury . . . The wreath and crest on the rear trunk lid is as handsome as it is functional. The Cadillac crest swings to one side to reveal the trunk lock, unobtrusive and protected from the weather . . . Beneath the Fleetwood designation on the front fender, a burnished chrome moulding starts at the front and sweeps full car length to integrate with the rear bumper . . . The Cadillac headlamp ensemble balances each side of the wide jewel-like horizontally divided grille, which is newly and more smartly designed for 1964.

Although no power train options were unique to Fleetwood series in 1964 to set it asside from any other 1964 model, it was still an industry marvel of engineering backed by a brand new 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic and followed by Automatic Controlled Differential (2 wheel rear traction). as standard for Fleetwood.
    Engine: V8, 429 CID, bore & stroke: 4.13" x 4.00",
Compression: 10.5:1, BHP: 340 @ 4600 RPM, 500LBS foot
Torque.

1964 Cadillac Sedan 'de Ville 4W .
Luxury and elegance unusual in motoring are the everyday pleasures enjoyed by the owner of a magnificent Cadillac de Ville for 1964. From its full complement of power assists and controls to its elegance of appointments, the de Ville achieves a new degree of perfection in motor car beauty and luxury. The special emphasis on interior luxury sets the de Ville Series apart from all other fine cars. Each of the four dramatic de Ville models-convertible, coupe, four-window sedan and six-window sedan-is a superb example of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that has made Cadillac the internationally recognized Standard of the Worid. In this view, you see the distinctive rear styling motif typical of all Cadillacs for 1964. Crisp new lines of the deck lid are harmoniously blended with the bumper and rear "grille" to emphasize width. The fin line flows in a low, unbroken sweep from front to rear and is unmistakably Cadillac in its correctness of proportion . . . and an outstanding example of the dignity of design and quality of craftsmanship that has maintained Cadillac's position of styling leadership in the luxury car field.
The de Ville four-window sedan, with front and rear center armrests, is designed in lime snowflake pattern Dorchester cloth with white leather, one of eight color selections

This is the popular 4 Window sports sedan many like to reffer to as the DTS (where did this start), wich would have not not come to be for another few decades.later. This is a 2nd owner car w/ very basic overhaul for fun comfortable driving, not showroom looks. However, the interior is clean but paint is a 25yo hack job and barely holding up. I took this car as a daily driver while working on my Eldorado in summer of '86 w/ barely 37K on it but in need of a gone through just cause it sat so long. I paid $500.00 for it as is.Note the California tow package RH mirror. It also had dealer quality frame mounted tow hitch and heavy duty springs as well as overload rear shocks and boy they work too. I put my own mls on it and now sits w/ 87K I got a 2nd one for parts but it was so clean w/ its 83K I drove it till I racked up 125k and still kicking.

Features included a full '64 line up offering of; Cruise Control, Twilight Sentinel, Guide-Matic, AM/FM Radio, Power Ventipanes, Power Trunk Release & Closing Unit, Rear Seat Belts (in soft silky green), Full Width Front & Rear Monogramed Floor Matts (color keyed), Spare Tire Cover, License Plate Lenses and some. I of corse baught it for the Cruise Control and low milage.

All the de Ville needs is you, and you dog too, behind the wheel . . . for in all motoring there is no more enjoyable place to sit. Seats are newly designed for greater comfort . . . thick foam padding is cool and restful . . . folding center armrests front and rear provide clubroom comfort. For 1964, leather seat and back inserts are perforated to virtually "breathe" for superlative comfort.
Helping me in my shop was Cadillac Sam, coming into the picture in Sep. of '91. He loved riding in the big Cadillacs as well as my big 'ol Peterbuilt tractors.

This car got the same treatment as my beloved sporty Eldorado Biarritz featuring the same ignition set up. I still have this back up driver and since added my own miles on it to a wopping 93K YES, it's coming up on its 100K turn over. Couldn't tell, she drive so smooth. This will be my 3rd Cadillac to be the one to take her over the hill.

Hello.  My 1964 Coupe DeVille is a 2 owner and was purchased back in 1995, which began my love affair with the 1964 Cadillac...and alter the 1963 Cadillacs.  This car was originally Bahama Sand and I switched to another original for 64 color, Sierra Gold a couple years ago.  It has a cross grain white vinyl top (available in 1964) and has 6 way power seats, guidematic light dimming (currently unhooked), and some add-ons that i've added such as tilt column, power vent windows, and limited slip rear end.  I have owned and sold other 63 & 64 driver cars, but am back to the one that got me into these fine rides to start with.  I also have a parts business on the side, and sell parts from the 32 and counting 1963 & 1964 Cadillacs I have parted.  You can check out my website at www.6364Cadillac.com

I purchased this vehicle in Swarthmore, PA, from my aunt and uncle's next door neighbor (The Jones) in 1989.  I had talked with the owner a few years prior.  Dr. Jones was a local doctor and purchased the car used (with about 3000 miles so I was told).  In January 1989, I received a phone call from my uncle stating that Dr. Jones had died and asked if I was I interested in purchasing the car?  I said yes…..and no.  My uncle suggested I make them an offer and see what happens.  After a little thought and pricing a trailer (since I was living in Martinez, GA (near Augusta))), and did not feel comfortable driving it 675 miles, I figured I would offer $1000 and..... they accepted it to my surprise!  So a friend of mine along with my 4 year old daughter hooked the new 16 ft trailer to my 1974 Ford F250 and set off for PA.  The vehicle had about 41,000 miles on it when I got it and it doesn't have much more on it now because it has been sitting in my basement for about 16 years just waiting for me.  The vehicle was trailered to my current location, Birmingham, AL, in June 1989.  For a couple of years I drove it in the neighborhood a few times and then decided to have the radiator flushed and rodded out.  Well, the radiator is still out and the car has not been cranked since.

I recently purchased this car and I have begun the time consuming (and costly) process of restoring it to a driver level car. It is my first andso far I am loving it. The car is 100% complete and was owned originally by a mortuary in Arizona. The body tag shows that it was a factory black car and I plan to return it to that. I am flirting with adding air bags to a completely stock exterior just for the fun of pulling into a spot and dropping the car to the frame. On the other hand I don't want to harm the car in any way as the motor and trans are original. i have some time to figure all of that out.

Member & Car Profile My name is Luc Reintjes. I'm from The Netherlands. Since feb. 2007, I'm the owner of a '64 Six Window Sedan Deville.

It now has 86000 miles on it. Since the day I bought it, I fell in love with it. This car was bought, driven and serviced in California (serviced at McAllister Cadillac, Whittier Cal. - for those of you interested). In 1996 it came to the Netherlands. When I bought it last year, it had been sitting for three years. It needed a good cleanup, some fresh lubrication and I replaced the wheel cilinders. I keep on fixing small things and looking for details to work on.

It's good to be a part of this group. Hope you all have a great time keeping your Caddies on the road!

We bought our 64  for $500.00 with 74,000 miles on her. She has "THE BIG 429" cu. in. engine with a 4 barrel carb, 340 hp. 0 to 60 in just under 10 seconds, and a posi rear end. Only 88,951 miles on her,as of 4/2008!
Except for the driver side front seat the Dk blue interior is excellent!

The story behind this car. It was bought new by a retired police officer. When he passed away the car ended up sitting under a pine tree in the back yard for 2 years.

My friend spotted her sitting there with 4 flat tires sinking in the ground, with only 35,000 miles on it. He made the owner an offer of $200.00 if the car would run,so with out pumping the gas he cranked her over in front of the owner but, wouldn`t you know it she fired right up.

He had replaced the following parts in the 2 years he owned it. Brakes and lines , radiator, heater core, water pump, oil pump, carb, starter, tie rod ends, rear springs and the big one getting the transmission rebuilt. The grand total of $3000.00 he had invested. After he got tired of waiting for parts for it and deciding he couldn`t drive it as a daily driver he sold it to me for $500.00, as long as I took good care of her.

The first thing I did was strip all of the paint off of her and prime her. I then found good front bumper ends and good fender skirts. I then replaced the master cylinder, shocks ,tires, battery, and brakes because they were improperly installed by Monroe.

Been into Cadillacs since 1986 when I got my first Cadi, a 63 series 62 sedan. I've had several Cads, but got out of it in 94 when a "friend" screwed me over on my 1960 sedan (cadillac).  Came across this one in 2006 as a car needing much attention.  Have disk brakes on the front, upgraded headlight wire harness, electronic ignition, edelbrock carb, custom grind cam,  polished heads, dual exhaust, redone interior, fresh paint.

Second car is my 1963 coupe deville. Got this one for 400 bucks. Took a little leg work, but I finally have the title. Well worth the 400 bucks.
